Situated in Rua Miguel Bombarda, there is a marginal universe of magic, myth and fantasy, a place of strange shapes and colours. Cruzes Canhoto is a gallery, a shop, almost a museum, which throws light on this surreal world to Invicta, dedicating itself to the unique sharing of raw, primitive and popular art. Originating in the human essence contemplation, deep and remote, a new passionate and sensitive form of art is created by self-taught and visionary individuals with absolutely unique mental universes. It is a collective project, made up of pieces with strict technical data sheets and where you will have personalized assistance on your first visit.
We invite you to discover Diabos by Julia Côta, Vivian Girls by Henry Darger, Songye's Kifwebe masks or even Ewe's twin Venavi figures. Furthermore, venture out and explore the multiple activities offered by the gallery, such as exhibitions, events and audiovisual production.
